Bumpdate | Week 21

Week|  21

Total Weight Gain| Holding steady with last week at my 15 plus pounds, though I discovered a 5 pound difference (in my favor!) when I stepped on the scale at home, maybe I had heavy clothes on that day at the doctors . . .

Gender| Baby Girl!

Symptoms| My ravenous appetite is back, I feel like I'm hungry ALL the time!  I'll eat a meal and then I feel starving hungry within an hour.  Martin and I went out to dinner Saturday night and before we even left the restaurant I was hungry and knew I needed to eat again when we got home, she must be growing!  The other one that gets me is those headaches, I've been keeping my peppermint oil on hand to combat those as best as I can.

Cravings|  Still on the cheese, I'm also loving the simple carbs, and for some reason this week I couldn't get enough chicken salad - strange.

Sleep|  This has definitely been hit or miss.  I either get a great nights sleep, like please don't wake me up I could sleep all day, or I'm tossing and turning all night and then just exhausted the next day.

Clothes|  I'm now sporting mostly maternity clothes.  The bottoms definitely, unless I'm around the house in sweat pants.  Though I'm still on the hunt for some good maternity work tops that don't resemble a tent.

Workouts| Definitely took it easy for another week.  The dancing is getting harder and harder, as well as with the amount of energy I'm exerting at work.  My goal is to start incorporating some light workouts on days where I know my schedule isn't too hectic at the studio.

Nursery|  Martin has almost all of the carpet pulled up in the room, but I still haven't pulled the trigger on the floor!

Movement|  Last week I had some for sure flutters, but I haven't felt them as prominent this week.  The doctor reassured me that is normal at this stage, and said that I should be feeling her more consistently around 24 weeks,

Best Moment this Week|  Being done with work on Saturday!  Saturday's absolutely kill me at the studio!  I'm usually tired by Friday as it is, and then Saturday tends to be my busiest teaching day of the week.  I've gotten better about regularly scheduling breaks during my day, and during one of them last Saturday I definitely holed up in my office with the door shut and the lights off - making it to the end of the day felt like a major accomplishment!

  2. LOVE the haircut! At least I think it's shorter...maybe it's just styled differently...either way, super cute! I do not see how you work on your feet all day...I am dragging by the end of the day, and I just sit in an office. I kind of panicked about the irregularity of feeling our little guy move around, but now that he's definitely kicking, I'm feeling him multiple times per day (this just started in the past 5 or 6 days)!

  5. I feel like my hair is finally starting to grow back out so the cut is looking a little bit different - which I am excited about! I feel like I've started to feel her move a little bit more in the last few days, but whenever I'm not working I tend to be a little bit more attentive to these things. I was hoping my active job would help curb the weight gain, but it's definitely not keeping my lower half from getting any wider!

  6. I feel like I finally officially look pregnant and not like I've just packed on some weight over the winter, so that is nice! Elevation is key, I've got to pop my feet up as much as I can!
