High Five for Friday

I'm just chalking it up to this time of year, but every Friday seems like it deserves an extra high five for the sheer fact that the weekend is almost here!  And this weekend brings with it a little something special, it's Valentine's weekend, so spread the love!

Here are a few things happening in my life currently.

1.  On Sunday Martin and I tried a new restaurant, Wise Guys.  I found them on my Find Me Gluten Free App for there 5 star rating of pizza.  It was just a little place, that looked like it probably did more carry out then dine in, and they had some of the best gluten free options I've had.  We had there pizza and garlic bread, the pizza was good, but I was super impressed by their garlic bread.  It actually tasted like real garlic bread, and if you've ever had most gluten free breads you know that most of them leave a lot to be desired.  They also offer gluten free sandwiches, pastas, and cookies.  I look forward to going back.

2.  Our Valentine's day box arrived from my mom, love the special surprises she sends us at the holidays, thanks mom!

3.  In lieu of going out Saturday night when it's super busy everywhere Martin and I are just going to bring in some carry out and enjoy a nice evening together at home which I am really looking forward to.

4.  But we are going to go out Sunday, to the Melting Pot, which I'm really looking forward to.  Hello cheese, in case you missed it, me and cheese, we have a thing lately.

5.  Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!  I think you are all sweet for taking a moment to stop by here today, it means the world to me, thank you!

  1. Awe, that's the cutest package from your mom! What a nice surprise. And, Melting Pot - yum! Have some extra cheese fondue for me. Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. I've been dying to go to the Melting Pot for years now and I still haven't been. TGIF!

  3. My mom totally still gives me Valentine's presents as well. It totally is the best right? :-)

  4. You guys are totally smart for staying in Saturday night! I'm sure it will be a mad house at most places. We were only able to get a sitter for Saturday night, so we're going to a Mexican restaurant hoping it won't be too over crowded. Your mom is so sweet for sending you guys a v-day gift!

  5. As excited as I am for going out tomorrow, staying in sounds amazing too! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

  6. Totally did, I could go there just for the cheese fondue alone! Hope you had a great Valentine's!

  7. You have to go! We only go every once in a blue moon cause it can get pricey, but I love it!

  8. It was good staying in, hopefully the Mexican restaurant wasn't too crazy and you enjoyed your night out!

  9. Either option would be good, if you've got a good place to go that won't be too crazy that would be fun, staying in was good for us because I had to work all day and I'm always spent at the end of the day!

  10. Staying in on Valentine's Day, then going out later sounds like the best of both worlds! Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend! Thanks for linking up with us at H54F!
