High Five For Friday

This week was one of those weeks where I just kinda felt like laying a little bit low, if you couldn't tell by my lack of posts this week!  It's been so darn cold that all I've wanted to do is curl up in my sweats under a pile of blankets and hibernate, no joke.  We're moving into the last week of February, there has to be some relief coming, right?!

Here are a few moments from this cold blistery week.

1.  Last Saturday when I was driving to work it was so crazy.  When I left my house it was sunny out, and about 5 minutes later I was in the middle of crazy snow, and then it was a white out.  I was sitting at this intersection and I could barely see the lights on the other side, it came out of no where, and then a half hour later the sun was out again.

2|  I was SO excited to hear that Starbucks was finally adding coconut milk to their menu, it was about time there was a non dairy option besides soy so I had to stop and give it a try.  I already know I love coconut milk and this was no exception. #gostarbucks

3.  Due to these frigid temperatures Martin has been off of work most of the week, since he works outside.  Though it's always frustrating when he's not able to work, it's been nice to have him around to help with the cooking and normal week things.  He's even packed my lunch for me a few days, I could get used to this!

4.  I thought I was feeling frigid the beginning part of this week, and then the worst struck.  Not only did my car thermometer pick up actual negative digits, my weather app tried to tell me that feeling like it was negative 23 is 'fair', really?!  Because last I checked negative 23 is really stupid cold!

5.  A special shout out to Karly, she is the sweetest for sending me a little mommy to be package via snail mail.  You are the best, and it totally made my day!

I have to say I'm a little sad I  won't be getting a day of rest until Monday, I have a busy working weekend ahead of me.  So if you have a nice relaxing weekend planned ahead of you, I am living vicariously through you!  Enjoy!

  1. I'm so glad that the package finally made it's way to you! That was one of my favorite books as a baby, so I always have to pass it on to the next generation. :) Girl, the struggle in this cold and weather is real - you are not alone. I honestly have no desire to leave the house unless I have to! Stay warm, and try not to work too hard!

  2. Oh god that first photo is scary! I am so over this frigid weather and snow. They cancelled school here in VA just due to the cold temperatures today! Also, not to burst a bubble but I heard something about Starbucks coconut milk not being real coconut milk? If that's something you care about... as long as my Chai's taste good I'm good with it!

  3. I have a ford too and my car thermostat read the exact same thing the other day! Lol! I can't believe it took Starbucks this long to jump on that bandwagon, but glad they did! Happy Friday!!
