Fall Neutrals

This fall I find myself gravitating towards neutrals and layers.  Typically I don't mind injecting a bit of color into my wardrobe, and it may have something to do with the more than dreary weather we've been having in the Midwest as of late.

Though I'm sticking to neutrals lately, I'm loving combining them, which is new for me.  I used to have a fear of mixing certain colors, but a neutral is a neutral, and so far so good.  At least I think it's looking good!  I can't believe the wear I'm getting out of my gray denim, love love love them, in case you haven't heard me say it before.  I am also loving my new black and blush bag I scored at DSW for 75% off.  I still haven't settled that I have found my fall bag, but for $38 I couldn't pass it up, plus at that price it leaves room to add another piece to the wardrobe.

My favorite part of the jacket it the detailing on the back.  I actually found it in the spring a few years back, but it has become a staple in my fall wardrobe, along with the booties that are oh so comfortable.  And even though they were a purchase for me last year, I spotted them just the other week at the Bloomingdale's Outlet Store.

Pants| Old Navy
Top| Express, old (similar)
Jacket| NY & Co, old (similar)
Boots| Carlos Santana, Bloomingdales Outlet (similar)
Purse| Ivanka Trump, DSW (same, different color)

Below is another neutral fall look that I put together for work.  This look took me further outside of my comfort zone combining navy, burgundy, and black, but I ended up loving it!

Pants| The Limited
Blazer| Halogen, Nordstrom Rack, old (similar|similar)
Top| Kenar, Marshalls, old (similar)
Shoes| Nine West, Ross, old (similar, similar)

What are your go to colors this fall?

  1. Love neutrals for that exact reason - you can pair them all! Love that first look!

  2. Love both these looks! You can't go wrong with layering neutrals, and I love how you brought in different textures with some of the pieces, too.

  3. Love love love those little booties! I used to be the exact same way when it came to pairing certain colors...I always thought that black and blue together must look like an ugly bruise! Haha...thank goodness I'm over that!

  7. Lol, I totally thought the same thing about black and blue, those were totally the hardest neutrals to pair together for me!
