June Beauty Favorites

Please tell me that I am not the only one that is in disbelief that it is already July?!  It always feels like July 4th is supposed to mark the middle of the summer when it really feels like it just got here!

One of the posts that I have wanted to start doing is a monthly favorites.  I hope that this is the first of many!  I am giving myself the freedom for my monthly favorites to include anything that I was loving for that month.  It just so happens that all my products for June happen to be beauty products, but I can guarantee that won't always be the case!

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation
I have been wanting to try this foundation since I heard it was coming out this spring.  I finally picked it up as a birthday present to myself, yay for birthday coupons!  I bought it with the brush that Bare Minerals has made for it and it definitely makes application a breeze.  I like that it really has no fragrance to it at all, and it provides good coverage while still looking natural.  I don't know that I can say it is my favorite foundation of all time, but it is definitely up there.

Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer
Ok, this primer didn't just become a favorite in June, more of a necessity due to the humidity and hot temperatures.  I had seen this product in blog land for a long time, and last summer at Ulta when I was getting some new foundation the sales lady recommended it to me.  I just couldn't see myself spending $32 on a primer more than once.  Well I'm now on my third tube.  I seriously love this stuff.  The good news is I just picked up my third tube a year later, so they really do last a good amount of time.  It keeps your make up looking fresh and just applied all day long, even with the heat and humidity.  I was never one to use a primer before this, but it just makes such a big difference in the longevity of your look.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Glisten
I have been reading about people's love for the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush for ages now, but I had my Nars blush that was a great color and lasted me for ages.  I saw it in yet another blog post, and then I walked by it at Ulta and that was all I needed to jump on the bandwagon.  I had a hard time deciding on a color and landed on Glisten.  Glisten is my go to color in blushes, a natural looking pink with a little golden shimmer in it.  This stuff is definitely worth all the hype!  It doesn't take much, this blush is very pigmented, I can see this lasting for a very long time.  It also lasts all day long.  In the past with some blushes it didn't even look like I had put it on by the end of the day.  With the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush you can still clearly tell I am wearing it up until I wash my make up off at night.  I am definitely going to be adding more of this to my collection.  I want to go for a brighter pink, now I just have to decide which one - that's the hardest part!

Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Craving Coral
I first found out about this product from Carly @ Miss in the Midwest, she had talked about it in one of her beauty posts.  In my quest to find my perfect lip color I tracked down this balm by Pixi, which is carried at Target.  Not the Target by me of course, but at least I found it at in the area.  What I like about this balm is that it is many things in one.  It has a tint, so once it wears off you are still left with some color on your lips.  It also adjusts to your ph, meaning how it looks on me will be different then how it looks on you.  It's creamy and nourishing, not drying at all, which is the biggest factor in if I really like a lip product or not.  The Craving Coral color is perfect for summer, though it was hard to choose and I think I'll be adding more colors to my collection!

Garnier Skin Renew Eye Roller
I am always struggling with under eye circles, bags, puffiness, you name it.  I've been loving this roller ball for a couple of reasons.  One it's easy to roll on, and cooling when you do.  It's brightening so it helps cover any dark circles, and its easy to blend with your finger.  After I blend under my eye I usually just swipe whatever excess I have on my finger over my eyelid and it works pretty great as a primer under my shadow.

What products were you loving in June?

  2. That Garnier rollerball is one of my holy grail products - I've been using it for years! I always look at the Tarte blushes when I'm in Sephora but then get overwhelmed trying to choose just one and have never actually taken one home.
