Everyday Elegance: What I Wore

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day.  I'm so glad my weekend isn't done yet, lots left to do.  But so far it has been a good one, we had a fun time celebrating a good friends birthday and for the first time in a long time Martin and I had a do absolutely nothing day.  Though it didn't help the bathroom progress, it was much needed.

My goal someday is to be able to share outfit posts, like where I am actually in them.  Baby steps,  I'm starting with just the clothes.  I'm still not quite brave enough to stand there and have photos taken of me, but know that is my goal!  Step one to accomplishing it is putting it out there and writing it down, at least that's what I am told!

Here's what I wore this weekend for a casual birthday get together.

You can kind of tell better in the photo below, but the black tank has a shimmer to it that dresses it up a little bit which I love.  And these flats are amazing, I scored them last summer when I new outlet mall opened near us.  I was prepared to pay the $80 some dollars they were marked, and when I got to the register everything was an extra 40% off because of the grand opening, bonus!  They are so comfortable and I love the bright color.

I am off to make some progress on the bathroom, be back tomorrow with an update.

  4. Love this outfit! I have been coveting an army green military-inspired jacket for quite a while - yours looks like the perfect one.

  7. It was one of those items I wanted to add to my closet but was a little iffy about. You can't go wrong at Old Navy's price point, plus they always have additional coupons to use which makes it even better!
